This needs to be said plainly, not buried in a footer line: VidhubReel is an independent tool. It is not owned by, operated by, partnered with, or endorsed by Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. in any way. Nobody on this project works for either company, and no agreement of any kind exists between them and us. Everything below explains exactly what that separation means in practice.

Why this needs saying out loud

Tools that interact with a platform's public content sometimes get mistaken for being part of that platform, especially when the branding looks polished or the workflow feels seamless. That confusion isn't harmless — it can lead someone to trust a site with information they'd never hand to an unaffiliated third party, or assume a level of official support that simply doesn't exist. Saying this clearly protects everyone: it sets the right expectations before someone even pastes a link.

Instagram / Meta Owns the platform & the content

Two separate things — no ownership, partnership, or data-sharing agreement between them.

What "not affiliated" actually covers

The phrase does real work — it's not a vague legal formality tacked onto the bottom of a page. Concretely, it means a few specific things.

Trademarks stay where they belong

"Instagram," the Instagram name, and any related marks or logos belong to Meta Platforms, Inc. and its licensors. This site references the name only to describe what VidHub does — downloading publicly available content from that platform — not to claim any ownership over it, imply an official partnership, or suggest the trademark holder has endorsed this tool in any way.

No shared data, no shared systems

VidHub doesn't have privileged access to Instagram's internal systems, private APIs, or user databases. It reads the same public page any visitor sees when they open a public post without logging in. There's no backend connection, integration, or data pipeline linking VidHub to Instagram's servers beyond that.

No official support channel

If something goes wrong with your actual Instagram account — a login issue, a content dispute, a reported post — Instagram's own support channels are the right place for that, not this site. VidHub can only help with what it actually does: reading a public link and returning a file.

"Being useful to people who use Instagram isn't the same as being part of Instagram — and pretending otherwise would be the fastest way to lose the trust this tool depends on."

Instagram's own terms still apply to you

Using VidHub doesn't exempt anyone from Instagram's own Terms of Use, which govern your account and how content on their platform can be used, shared, or redistributed. Those terms exist independently of this site and apply to you as an Instagram user regardless of which tools you use alongside it. It's worth actually knowing what those terms say if you plan to reshare downloaded content anywhere public.

⚡ Good to know

If Instagram changes how its public pages are structured, VidHub may briefly stop working until an update catches up. That's expected for any independent tool built around a platform it doesn't control.

What could change this

Nothing about this relationship is likely to change quietly. If VidHub ever entered into any kind of formal agreement with Instagram or Meta — which isn't currently the case — that would be disclosed clearly on this page rather than left implied. Until and unless that happens, the current situation stands: two separate things, run by separate people, with no connection beyond one reading the other's public pages.
