DMCA & Copyright Policy

Copyright still belongs to the creator.

VidHub only helps you save what Instagram already shows publicly — it doesn’t grant any rights to that content. If something of yours is being misused, here’s how to report it.

The short version

Where VidHub sits in all this

VidhubReel doesn’t store a library of Instagram content, and it doesn’t host anything after a download finishes. When you paste a link, the tool reads the same public page Instagram already serves to any visitor, hands you the file, and the job is done. There’s no archive of past downloads sitting on our servers for anyone to browse.

That matters for how copyright works here: VidHub is a pass-through tool, not a publisher or a host of the material itself. The rights to any video, photo, or Reel stay exactly where they were before — with whoever created and posted it.

Downloading isn't owning

Being able to save a public Instagram post to your device doesn’t change who owns it. Copyright in a photo, video, or Reel belongs to its creator the moment it’s made, and that doesn’t transfer just because a copy now sits in your camera roll. Using VidHub, you agree not to:

If you're the copyright owner

If you believe content accessible through VidHub infringes a copyright you hold, you can send a takedown request. Because VidHub doesn’t store or host content, the fastest fix is usually reporting the original post directly to Instagram — but if the concern is about how this site itself operates, a formal notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) should include:

How to reach us

Send a notice with the details above to the email below. Because the site is run by a small independent team rather than a large legal department, please expect a real, personal response rather than an auto-generated case number.

Copyright & takedown requests

What happens after a valid notice

Because VidHub doesn’t host a persistent copy of the content, there’s usually nothing to “take down” on our side — the fix in most cases is confirming the tool no longer serves that specific link. Where a valid, complete notice points to a real problem within our control, we act on it promptly rather than letting it sit in a queue.

If a notice is incomplete or doesn’t clearly identify the work or the infringement, we may follow up asking for the missing details before taking action.

Counter-notices

If you believe content was restricted in error or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to the same email above, including your contact details, identification of what was restricted, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the restriction was a mistake. We’ll review it and respond directly.

Repeat infringers

VidHub doesn't tolerate deliberate, repeated copyright infringement

through the tool. Because there’s no account system, enforcement happens at the server level — for example, restricting access from a specific source shown to be systematically misusing the service after a pattern of valid complaints.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that matters — a new contact process, an updated notice requirement — this page gets updated and the date at the top moves with it.

Have a copyright concern?

Send the details to our DMCA email above, or reach out through the contact page — either way, a real person reads it.
